Laura Anderson BRADFORD -- Vermont State Police are searching for a woman who walked away from Valley Vista in Bradford on Saturday morning. According to police, Laura Anderson, 43, was discovered missing during a routine check at 7:20 a.m. The staff searched the premises and the local roads, but they were unable to locate her. A surveillance tape of the facility showed that Anderson walked out the front door of the facility at approximately 6:14 a.m. State police used a K-9 to help with the search, but were unable to locate Anderson. A second K-9 team was brought in from the St. Johnsbury barracks, but was also unsuccessful. Anderson is unfamiliar with the area, police said. She has no transportation, no ties to the community and no financial resources. She has family in Lowell, Mass., according to authorities, but has not contacted them. Anderson is described as a white female, approximately 5’3” tall, 142 pounds, blue eyes, pale complexion and has dark red hair. She was last seen wearing black jeans, a white or light gray shirt, white athletic sneakers and a two tone light and dark lavender and purple Colombia style coat. According to police, Laura Anderson, 43, was discovered missing from the substance abuse treatment facility during a routine check at 7:20 a.m. The staff searched the premises and the local roads, but they were unable to locate her.
A surveillance tape of the facility showed that Anderson walked out the front door of the facility at approximately 6:14 a.m. State police used a K-9 to help with the search, but were unable to locate Anderson. Bradford, VT is a very small town. Total area of 29.9 square miles and a population of apx. 3000. The town is crossed by Interstate 91, U.S. Route 5, Vermont Route 25, and Vermont Route 25B...I wonder if she thumbed a ride?
