June 9, 2008
BRADFORD — Police are looking for a woman who was last seen leaving a rehabilitation center early Saturday morning.
Police say Laura Anderson, 43, was seen on a surveillance tape of the Valley Vista in Bradford at about 6:15 a.m. Saturday.
State Police Trooper David White and his canine conducted a search that yielded no results. A second canine team also failed to find Anderson.
Police said Anderson was last seen wearing black jeans, a light colored shirt, athletic sneakers and a two-tone purple jacket.
Anderson is a white female, about 5’3” tall, 142 pounds with blue eyes and dark red hair. Anderson is not familiar with the area, has no transportation, no ties to the community and no financial resources, according to police. Her family in Lowell, Mass., has not heard from her, said police. Anderson may seek out homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters and prescription drugs, said police. Any one who has seen her or who has any information pertaining to her disappearance is asked to call the Vermont State Police at 222-4680.
