Sketch released of woman whose body was found in garbage truck
A postmortem sketch was released of a woman whose body was discovered inside a garbage truck in Opa-locka.
Police have released a postmortem sketch of an unidentified woman whose lifeless body traveled through northern Miami-Dade County inside a garbage truck two weeks ago.
Workers at an Opa-locka waste disposal facility were rummaging through trash on Dec. 10 when they discovered the body of a woman, according to police.
Employees at the DisposAll at 12890 NW 30th Ave. found the woman, who was wearing a thick, dark-colored elastic headband, a dark shirt and dark pants.
She was 25 to 45 years old, five-foot, three-inches tall and weighed 145 pounds.
According to police, the woman was inside one of DisposAll's large, blue garbage trucks as it traveled its usual route across the northern part of the county.
When the driver returned it to the waste plant in Opa-locka, workers began to sort through the trash when they discovered the body.
Miami-Dade investigators are seeking help in identifying the woman.
