Case #: 05-11144
Victim: Unknown male; approximate age late teens to 30s; estimated height between 6' and 6'5"
Location Remains Found: Forested area/Tree Property near 24250 S Raney Lane, Estacada
Date Remains Found: March 24, 2005
Details: On the afternoon of March 24, 2005 skeletal remains and clothing of an unidentified male was found in a secluded tree farm/forested area in Estacada, not far from Clear Creek. The location where the remains were located had been clear-cut about two years prior to the discovery of the remains.
Investigators believe the remains had been there for a period of time -- possibly years -- and may have been buried prior to their discovery. Investigators are unable to determine the cause of death, however there is concern foul play may be a factor.
The Sheriff's Office has very limited information available to offer the public related to the discovery of these remains. However, with the release of the clothing information, jewelry and location the body was found, perhaps someone can come forward and provide investigators with a relevant tip.
To Report Info: The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about this unidentified male -- and asks anyone who recognizes any of the clothing and/or has information about this person to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Tip Line at 503-723-4949 (or use the online e-mail form) and/or Detective M.
