Missing Proctor Airman Finally Found Proctor, Vermont - July 14, 2008 Charlie and Mary Shostak were shocked to hear a message left on their answering machine. "It's sort of a miracle," says Mary. A miracle the Proctor couple waited for-- for nearly six and a half decades. Investigators in France discovered two tiny artifacts that once belonged to Charlie's brother, Felix; a 1938 Proctor class ring and a dog tag bearing his name. You see Felix's plane was shot down during World War II. His remains were never found following the fiery crash and his family never really knew what happened to him. For 64 years, the Air Force gunner was listed as missing in action. "It was quite hard," says Charlie. www.wcax.com/Global/story.asp?S=8673832&nav=menu183_
